It took at least 15 minutes before the waitress came to our table. Chips or salsa are not free. Food was unimpressive. My burrito had no garnish (lettuce, tomato) just meat and cheese. You have to pay $1 each if you want guac or sour cream. Husband got the three tacos (It's an extra $3.50 if you want rice and beans.) and gave me some of his lettuce and tomato which made the burrito much better. When businesses nickel and dime for the basics that come standard at other restaurants, it makes me wonder what else they're cheaping out on.

Food was good, but Very Expensive. Nice decor. Very slow service. No free chips and salsa. Not sure if chips and salsa are not standard in this area. No rice and beans with tacos. Have to purchase rice and bean to make it meal combo. I thought I was in McDonalds for a minute to make it combo meal.

My favorite Mexican restaurant throughout the Lacey-Tacoma area! Viva Mexican offers a robust menu and is able to make every dish to perfection. My favorite time to visit is during happy hour when they have an incredible deal on their tacos. I have come here numerous times and enjoy the food every time. Service is always quick, and you can expect leftovers from the portion sizes. I don't normally care for the beans and rice at other restaurants, but here at Viva they are a must!

I wish I could say I had a better experience. Upon walking in, I was completely taken away by the beautiful decor and easy going atmosphere of the restaurant. However, my excitement was quickly replaced by disappointment before I even received my food. The service was awful and I felt as though we were not wanted there. Maybe the staff was having a bad day, I don't know.. Anyways, my food was warm at best when it arrived and the rice looked old and dried out. For an additional $3.50 just for rice and beans, I expect a little better than that. To make matters worse, my food was so salty and flavorless that I couldn't finish it. Even my kids complained about the salt bomb on their plates and my kids LOVE salt. Long story short, my kids and I left the restaurant hungry. Seriously? I now have a mild case of food poisoning. In short, I wouldn't eat here again. It was awful.

One of the best Mexican food I've had, very authentic based on my experience. Food was delicious and most of the drinks were very well made. Our server was great and kept checking on us. I ordered a margarita flight, the mango and classic lime were very good but I didn't like the prickly pear as much. My husband loved his tacos (shrimp and carne asada) I had the pozole rojo, it's the best one I've tried so far. The ceviche was very yummy too, tasted fresh and wasn't swimming in citrus juice like we usually have it at other restaurants.

Food was pretty decent had a good amount of flavor but definitely not the best Mexican place out there. I was also kind of sad that you have to pay for the chips and salsa but the chips and salsa was pretty good comes with 3 different things to dip your chips in. Best apart about this place I'd say is the atmosphere is very chill and cool and the amount of food they give you is very generous. I got the tacos that had Carne asada and chorizo the chorizo and steak didn't have crazy flavor but wasn't bad. I'd come back give something else a try.

This place was pleasantly surprising. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff, friendly and genuinely nice. I had the carne asada tacos with beans and rice. The tacos were good, but could use a bit more seasoning. The salsa served with it, however was fresh and flavorful, it made the tacos brilliant. The refried beans were delicious, albeit a bit over salted, and the rice was fluffy and tasty. My wife had the shrimp enchiladas, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She also had the black beans, which she thought were average, but good. My mother-in-law had the Molle. She absolutely raved about them. Said it was the best and most authentic Molle she has ever had, in the US!

The staff is extremely nice! Our hostess, who was also our waitress, talked with my two little girls for a long time and listened to all their stories! The restaurant is clean and the service is pretty fast. There are no free chips and salsa at this restaurant like most other Mexican sit-down places, so be prepared to pay if you'd like some. Also no kids menus to color on, but my kids had fun looking at all the decor and finding the different animals. The food is a little over priced in my opinion. You can get the same item, but a bigger portion, for less, at other establishments.
